Kansas City, MO –

  • Concerns from businesses located near I-70 and Manchester are trumping plans to even out traffic where the interstate has a bottleneck.

  • Wyandotte County's Unified Government is bracing for a smaller staff, reduced services, and less money. Commissioners adopted a 2010 budget last night amid a 12 million dollar shortfall.

  • One of the largest trucking company in the country, Overland-Park based YRC Worldwide, lost more than 300 million dollars in the second quarter, and maybe headed for bankruptcy.

  • The Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art has a new curator.

  • Kansas City bicycle racing fans will be able to see even more of the Tour of Missouri this year. Organizers have announced the route for the seven-day tour will conclude in Kansas City with a seven-lap circuit race.

  • KCUR prides ourselves on bringing local journalism to the public without a paywall — ever.
