Kansas City, MO – Councilman Ed Ford had his day on the council floor as sponsor of a proposal to limit the mayor's powers yesterday.

The council approved a committee recommendation authorizing $35 million in bonds to pay for a new emergency radio system.

A Kansas commission is looking at how a specialized court could streamline how the state deals with drunk drivers.

The name Penske has been very much in the automotive news this week. Most notably in association with the Saturn brand. At Kansas Speedway, the Penske name is also very visible.

Congress just eliminated federal funding for KCUR, but public radio is for the people.
