"A Christmas Story, The Musical!" at the Rep

As the year creeps toward a close, the television networks are rebooting all the holiday movies in their hard drives. Top among the list of America's favorites the last quarter-century is the comedy "A Christmas Story," about an Indiana kid's feverish quest for a Red Ryder BB gun.By Steve Walker

Kansas City, MO – The story has been adapted for the stage before, but not as a musical. It's this new version, "A Christmas Story, The Musical!", that's appearing at Kansas City Repertory Theatre this holiday season. And, as KCUR's Steve Walker reports, it's likely to be headed to Broadway later next year after its Kansas City debut.
