Dark Comedy Set in Amsterdam's Red Light District at the Fishtank

If theater audiences this month only want to see shows with holiday themes, that is not a difficult task. But when theaters decide to stage a play in December that has nothing to do with the season, it could be, to some, a calculated risk, but to others, a relief. Kansas City, MO – When theatergoers mark out their calendar of art events this time of year, it's not often they'd pencil in a dark comedy set in Amsterdam's red light district. But that opportunity avails itself next week when the play "Red Light Winter" premieres at the Fishtank, the performance space in the Crossroads district that has, since its opening, only staged pieces in its windows, to be viewed from the street.
