Kansas City, MO – The Kansas City area has gotten $50 million in federal stimulus funds.

The EPA has conducted air tests at the Bannister federal complex in south Kansas City.

The Missouri Senate has given first-round approval to a proposed constitutional amendment that would allow laws requiring DNA collections from criminals to be applied retrospectively.

Democratic State Senator Tom Holland has officially entered the race for governor.

The Missouri men's basketball team scored an 82-77 win over 17th-ranked Texas last night. Kansas State narrowly avoided an upset by holding off Nebraska 91-87. The K-State women's team lost to 12th-ranked Texas, 62-41.
