Kansas City, MO – The U.S. Department of Homeland Security has chosen Kansas State University to host a center of excellence for animal disease research.

Screeners at Kansas City International Airport have begun using random palm swabbing on travelers as an extra security measure this week to determine if travelers have been near explosives.

A bill in the Kansas Legislature would crack-down on con artists who target veterans.
