Kansas City, MO – Debra Granik, director of the Sundance Grand Jury prize award winning film Winter's Bone talks with Up to Date host Steve Kraske about her film, which will open this year's Kansas City FilmFest. Also a recipient of the Waldo Salt Screenwriting Award, Winter's Bone is a gut‐wrenching and darkly suspenseful tale based on the novel by Missouri native Daniel Woodrell.
