Kansas City, MO –

  • Kansas lawmakers return to the statehouse today with the hopes of wrapping up the 2010 session. Legislators worked over the weekend trying to tie up loose ends of the last few important issues.

  • In Missouri, dozens of bills remain on the agenda for this final week of session, including those labeled as "must haves" by the governor and lawmakers at the start of the session.

  • Several initiatives are underway in the Kansas City area to make electric cars more appealing.

  • The suspended head of the Kansas City Missouri water department is resigning.

  • Emporia State's baseball team last year fell one game short of winning the NCAA Division II national championship, but the Hornets hope to have another crack at the national title this year.

  • KCUR prides ourselves on bringing local journalism to the public without a paywall — ever.
