Kansas City, MO – First Lady Michelle Obama told leaders of the NAACP yesterday that the civil rights organization needs to focus its attention on the health of the next generation.

By law, the portion of Interstate 70 in eastern Missouri that was named for controversial baseball star player Mark McGwire has been renamed for native-son Mark Twain.

Missouri's unemployment rate fell to 8-point-9 percent in June. It's lowest point in more than a year.
