Kansas City, MO – A 7-year-old boy has died after being struck by an SUV while crossing a street outside Madison Elementary in Gardener.

The Kansas City council will ask a judge to waive the ballot deadline and send a charter amendment to the voters in November.

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency accuses the Missouri Department of Transportation with polluting streams into Lake of the Ozarks.

The Kansas Department of Health and Environment says its vital statistics office is back to normal operations following computer problems.

Missouri's revenue collections improved slightly in August, inching up by less than a percentage point over last year.
