Election Final

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The election board reports that all of the votes are counted in today's Kansas City election, and the city's new mayor will be attorney Sly James. James has defeated Mike Burke.

In council-member-at-large races the winners are.
First District at large - Scott Wagner
Second District Large - Ed Ford
Third District at Large - Melba Curls
Fourth District at Large - Jim Glover
Fifth at Large - Cindy Circo
Sixth District at Large - Scott Taylor

The winners of in-district races...
Jermaine Reed unseated Sharon Sanders Brooks in the third district.
Michael Brooks very narrowly defeated Ken Bacchus in the 5th district.
John Sharp retains his council seat in the 6th
district.
Dick Davis Ran unopposed in the 1st district, as did incumbent Jan Marcas on in the 4th.

All municipal judges on the ballot won voter approval.
