KANSAS CITY, Mo. – If weather allows, work begins today on an innovation in traffic flow that may change the way thousands of cars and trucks move on Kansas City's far Northeast side.

Missouri Governor Jay Nixon today criticized the Missouri Senate for failing to pass legislation to draw down around $105 million in extended unemployment benefits.

Matt Treanor hit a three-run walk-off homer in the bottom of the 13th inning yesterday to give the Kansas City Royals a 12-9 win over the Los Angeles Angels at Kauffman Stadium.
