KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Kansas City, Missouri firefighters will be getting a raise. The city council decided yesterday to honor an agreement made in 2009 rather than let the matter go to arbitration.
The battle over the proposed expansion of a coal-fired power plant in Southwest Kansas has taken another controversial turn.
The agreement reached by Missouri lawmakers on a special session for economic development includes a proposal to cut one of the most-used tax credit programs nearly in half.
