KANSAS CITY, Mo. – As many as 30,000 Kansas City area utility customers lost power yesterday when a strong storm raced across the region.

Licensed child care facilities in Missouri must now place infants on their backs during nap time. The new law, effective this month, aims to reduce the number of infant deaths in the state.

The Kansas Insurance Department wants to know what the state's business community wants the soon-to-be-created Kansas Insurance Exchange to look like.

The upcoming special legislative session in Missouri will not include a tax break that allowed developer Paul McKee to buy up large tracts of land in north St. Louis.

Hundreds of old desks and chairs from Leavenworth public schools are heading to Joplin, Missouri to help the tornado-damaged school system prepare for the upcoming school year.
