KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Congresswoman Lynn Jenkins, a Republican from the 2nd District, hopes Congress will be able to reach compromise on some important issues when lawmakers return to Washington in September.

Missouri lawmakers will return to Jefferson City the day after Labor Day (Sept. 6th) to begin their special session.

A proposed settlement has been reached in a lawsuit by Missouri residents against LegalZoom, an online vendor of legal forms and documents.

Missouri state senators will be examining the spate of natural disasters that have struck the state this year.

Authorities are investigating the theft of about $20,000 in scrap gold taken from a Wichita store.

Congress just eliminated federal funding for KCUR, but public radio is for the people.
