KCUR Morning 11-4-11

By Maria Carter

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Kansas City's city council cranked out a stack of measures to improve the community yesterday, but one of them has provoked some backlash.

The Kansas City City Council voted yesterday to terminate the tax-increment financing (TIF) plan for the historic 18th and Vine district.

The Speaker Pro-tem of the Missouri House says he's going to sponsor a package of election-related bills during next year's legislative session.
