Apple Stock Continues Nasdaq Slide

STEVE INSKEEP, HOST:

NPR's business news starts with falling Apple.

(SOUNDBITE OF MUSIC)

INSKEEP: Apple stocks dropped over 4 percent yesterday on the NASDAQ. That continues a five-day decline for the maker of iPads and iPhones. In that span, the company's market value has dropped by almost $60 billion. Now analysts say this may just be a price correction but, of course, so many people pay such close attention to Apple that analysts warn this could drag the markets down with it.
