The Civic Opera Theater of Kansas City presented two new works recently, including a world premiere called Everlasting Universe exploring the relationship between the early Romantic poets Byron and Shelley.

Kansas City, MO – The Civic Opera Theater of Kansas City presented two new works recently, including a world premiere called Everlasting Universe exploring the relationship between the early Romantic poets Byron and Shelley.

The Civic Opera Theater of Kansas City opens their 2007-2008 season with two very special one-act operas. The first opera, Everlasting Universe, a world premiere', by accomplished local composer, John Mueter, will be double billed with The Medium by the late Giancarlo Menotti.

Civic Opera's Artistic Director, Andy Anderson will be conducting both operas, with Rick Truman as the stage director. Vaughn Schultz is set designer and Brad Hull is lighting designer.
