It’s also a great time to thaw out some fabulous podcast programming, that for some reason or another you just didn’t know about before.
Here are some podcasts about music that our critics Jason Harper and Mike Russo (who also works at KCUR 89.3) recently suggested on KCUR's Central Standard.

Former managing editor of The Source, Reggie "Combat Jack" Ossé holds way-cool conversations with hip-hop royalty, icons and legends. Billed as the "#1 Hip-Hop Podcast," interviews on the Combat Jack Show strive to share something that we didn’t already know.

Stand-up comic and IFC sitcom personality Marc Maron holds court via the home garage. Maron chats it up with with everyone from musicians to fellow comedians, even President Barack Obama.
5. Secret Skin with Open Mike Eagle
Los Angeles hip-hop artist Open Mike Eagle hosts this commentary on hip-hop culture that also features interviews, music and comedy, all while seeking to answer the question, “What goes on behind the face that many artists put on for the public?”
Artists deconstruct their songs to show how the song was created and eventually came together. KCUR will feature an episode of Song Exploder and a performance by The Grisly Hand at our monthly Podcast Party at The Buffalo Room.
A fictional podcast series where band members are transported directly into their songs when a magical drum machine is brought into the mix.
If all that isn't enough, RSVP for KCUR's Podcast Party at The Buffalo Room on April 28. You're sure to find plenty of fellow podcast listeners with recommendations of their own. Plus beer!
