Kansas City, Mo. – Touring the state to promote jobs growth, Missouri Governor Jay Nixon lamented what he called a disjointed' process in Washington to energize the economy.
Without specifically mentioning health care, The governor alluded to the seeming single issue preoccupation in the nation's capital as his state tries to increase jobs and retain what it has--"They seem to have been, in essence, languishing or stuck on one subject for a long period of time and I think that has drained some of the energy from the core challenge of getting this economy turned around."
The governor was on the road promoting his 2010 Jobs Package on the day after his State of the State Address.
In Kansas City, He toured APTUIT Pharmaceutical Services to focus on the Science and Innovation Reinvestment Act ( MOSIRA). The program uses part of revenue from existing high-tech companies to lure new ones. The governor would not estimate how many jobs might be created.
