Kansas City Producers Win International Radio Award With Story About Alzheimer's

Esther Honig

This summer, more than 200 teams from around the world competed in KCRW's third International Radio Race. Participants were given the theme "Time Change" and 24 hours to produce a short radio story.

A team of KCUR contributors, including Matthew Hodapp, Patrick Quick, and Esther Honig, won first place for their story The Time Traveler's Ark. The piece takes a personal look at the connections between Alzheimer's and time through Esther Honig's relationship with her father.
