More Than 40 Dead After Attack At Government Compound In Afghanistan
No militant group has claimed responsibility for the suicide bombing and hours-long standoff with police in Kabul on Monday. Most of the people who died were government employees.
Life Expectancy Drops For White Women, Increases For Black Men
Suicide, drug abuse and alcohol have started to shorten the lives of white women, a U.S. report on data from 2013 to 2014 suggests. Life-expectancy for many black men went up from 71.8 years to 72.2.

Study Of Junior Seau's Brain Finds Signs Of Neurodegenerative Disease
Junior Seau, the former NFL linebacker whose suicide last May at age 43 shocked fans and former teammates, suffered from chronic traumatic encephalopathy, a neurodegenerative disease associated with repetitive head injuries, according to research by the National Institutes of Health.
A Missouri town commemorates the tragic history of the Philippine Village 'human zoo'
Artist and researcher Janna Añonuevo Langholz led the effort to establish a marker in Clayton, Missouri, where the 1904 World's Fair put nearly 1,200 Filipino and Indigenous people on display for fair visitors. More than a dozen people died from disease, malnutrition or suicide.
Families Criticize Afghan Government For Not Preventing Attacks
Thursday's suicide bombing in the Afghan capital of Kabul targeted a Shiite cultural center, and killed 41 people. Victims' families say the government isn't doing enough to stop the violence.

Robin Williams was found dead at his home in California on Monday. The cause of death is believed to be suicide, according to a statement by the Marin County Sheriff's Office. Williams was 63.
