Seg. 1: Behind The Lucas Campaign | Seg. 2: Medicine A La Carte

Segment 1: Documentary follows the Quinton Lucas campaign

Ater receiving unfiltered access to the Quinton Lucas campaign for mayor, KMBC reporter Micheal Mahoney saw things no one else got to see. He shared what Lucas was like off-camera, his personality quirks and his team's reaction to winning the election.

Segment 2, beginning at 23:47: New online options to find affordable medical care

A la carte shopping for medical care and procedures is now available in Kansas City. Patients can search for doctors and set up appointments, and are not required to have insurance. But the quality and trustworthiness of the doctors is still a concern.

When I host Up To Date each morning at 9, my aim is to engage the community in conversations about the Kansas City area’s challenges, hopes and opportunities. I try to ask the questions that listeners want answered about the day’s most pressing issues and provide a place for residents to engage directly with newsmakers.
