From the Archives with Frank Byrne

The former Kansas City Symphony executive director and current host of "From the Archives" on Classical KC joins Michael Stern and Dan Margolies for a trip down memory lane. We'll find out what an orchestra's executive director does, how repertoire is chosen and hear fantastic performances, including one led by guest conductor Jefferey Kahane and another featuring violin soloist Gil Shaham.

Another show of themes and variations – this time with music by Anton Arensky, Cesar Franck, and Samuel Coleridge-Taylor, an Anglo-African composer whose work deserves to be heard more often.
