The Walt Bodine Legacy Guild

Planned Giving for KCUR-FM

Most of us, if given the chance, would like to leave some kind of lasting legacy to show that our lives have made a difference to society; that in some way, we have contributed to an important work or cause that will benefit the lives of others for generations to come. In the past, only a privileged few could create such legacies. But today, with the tax-favored ways of giving, many more of us can participate in this adventure to experience the intense joy that comes from being able to make a difference. At KCUR, listener-contributors who establish "planned gifts" become members of "The Walt Bodine Legacy Guild".

We have been fortunate for over 25 years to have one of Kansas City's most respected and well known broadcasters as a member of our staff and as a program host. Walt Bodine is known as the "Dean of Kansas City Broadcasting" and is called "Kansas City's broadcast icon". It is in Walt's honor that we have created "The Walt Bodine Legacy Guild". Mr. Bodine, himself, made a generous gift to start the legacy fund and we are very proud to have this campaign named after him. Walt's personal legacy in Kansas City will live forever and now his endorsement of a planned giving guild will help provide an endowment to guarantee the future of KCUR.

Anyone who designates a planned gift to KCUR automatically becomes a member of The Walt Bodine Legacy Guild. We will be hanging a large plaque by the studio to recognize all donors who name KCUR in their wills and/or who make other forms of planned gifts.

We sincerely hope you will take advantage of this special way to make a difference. KCUR is such a valued community resource and your planned gift can make a profound difference in guaranteeing the future of your public radio station.

We would like to welcome you as a member of "The Walt Bodine Legacy Guild". We hope the satisfaction and joy of leaving a legacy enhances the quality of your life.
