Kansas City, Missouri – Friends and family members say James D. Costin was a tireless advocate for the arts, but he'll also be remembered for his business acumen. After a two year battle with cancer, Costin passed away Tuesday, January 25, 2005. In his nearly 40 year relationship with the University of Missouri-Kansas City, Costin wore a number of hats - from playwright-in-residence to executive director at the The Kansas City Repertory Theatre...to the University's Vice Provost and Chief Academic Fiscal Officer. KCUR's Laura Spencer has this remembrance.
