Lester King Memorial Jam Session

Fellow musicians and friends hold a memorial jam session for the late Lester "Wizard" King. By Sylvia Maria Gross

Kansas City, MO – Blues guitarist, Lester ?Wizard? King, was a regular at the Tuesday night jam session at Experience Bar and Grill in Kansas City Kansas. King had already recorded three albums and had gotten some national attention at the Poconos Blues Festival in Pennsylvania last year. But two weeks ago, he had a conflict with his supervisor at the Midwest Lighting Solutions plant. King allegedly fired a gun into the air at the plant, and then went home and took his own life. Sylvia Maria Gross went to last week?s memorial jam session, and talked to friends and fellow musicians about the Wizard.
