Kansas City, MO – The University of Missouri is working with a team of researchers in South Africa on one of the first scientific studies of using a native herb to treat HIV. A branch of the National Institutes of Health is funding much of the research and Kathy Goggin, of UMKC, is a co-investigator for this project. She just returned from a trip to South Africa and talked with KCUR's Kelley Weiss about her work.
