Kansas City, MO – Most people probably know by now that an exhibit of the Dead Sea Scrolls will be at Union Station through mid-May. The exhibit began at the Library of Congress in 1993. Kansas City is the 18th stop, but each stop contains some scrolls that have never been seen before. Curators with the Israel Antiquities Authority, sponsors of the exhibit, say this is to both preserve the collection, and generate public interest in these extraordinary historical documents. KCUR's Laura Ziegler has more.

Congress just eliminated federal funding for KCUR, but public radio is for the people.

Your support has always made KCUR's work possible — from reporting that keeps officials accountable, to storytelling to connects our community. Help ensure the future of local journalism.
