  • UMKC is one step closer to getting a $15 million nursing and pharmacy.
  • Former Sprint CEO Gary Forsee took the reins yesterday as president of the University of Missouri.
  • A Kansas Senate committee watered down a bill to ban smoking in public places. The bill requires each county to vote on a smoking ban which includes restaurants, bars and casinos.

Congress just eliminated federal funding for KCUR, but public radio is for the people.
