  • Children's Mercy is set to receive more than $43 million from the Hall Family foundation.
  • Overland Park is going to swell in size by about eight and a half square miles. The Johnson County Commission voted to allow the city to annex the land, much of which lies beneath its southern borders.
  • An audit of the Missouri Governor's office claims there are ongoing problems over the use of state-owned vehicles for political and personal use.
  • A bill that would bar people under the age of 40 from filing age discrimination suits in state court is exposing a generation gap in the Kansas House.
