  • The Missouri House finally passed a bill to allow Kansans who work in the state to deduct their property taxes from their Missouri income tax - but after many returns were already filed.
  • The Kansas Supreme Court considered an attempt to limit the powers of a grand jury investing abortion provider George Tiller.
  • But the main focus of the day was on sports. Today's home opener gives the Kansas City Royals a chance to show-off Kauffman Stadium's ongoing renovations. And the KU Jayhawks returned to Lawrence, newly crowned as 2008 NCAA champions.
