WEB EXTRA: Chato Villalobos Reads from Primera P?gina

Kansas City, Missouri, police officer Chato Villalobos has been involved in the performing arts for more than 15 years as a dancer and actor. He's a new member of the Latino Writers Collective. By Laura Spencer

Kansas City, MO – Here, Villalobos reads a poem called "Brown Eyes in Blues." He says he views his role as a police officer as a "prideful position", but his poem explores the Latino community's conflicting relationship with the police.

This poem is published in the anthology called Primera P?gina: Poetry from the Latino Heartland.
