Kansas City, MO – The first round of economic stimulus payment were mailed out and deposited to bank accounts out this week. The federal government's plan is to bolster the slow economy by providing tax payers with a few extra rege er hundred dollars each to spend as they please. He said the idea for these payments was born at a meeting with Kansas Citians last year at the Bruce Watkins Cultural Heritage Center. We wondered how Kansas Citians were reacting to the checks, so KCUR's Alex Smith hit the streets.
