  • The trial of Harrell Johnson for the killing of Erica Green, "Precious Doe," is underway. The defense admits Johnson killed the little girl by kicking her in the head, but maintains that it was not premeditated murder.
  • Jury selection has begun in another murder case in Platte County - the trial of Webber Gilmer, a landlord accused of shooting a tenant in a scuffle over unpaid rent.
  • Republican for Missouri attorney general Mike Gibbons reports $130,000 in contributions from opponent Chris Koster's ex-wife and her father.
  • Missouri Republican for Governor Kenny Hulshof proposes creating a state inspector general's office to investigate fraud, waste and corruption.

  • Congress just eliminated federal funding for KCUR, but public radio is for the people.
