Kansas City, MO – Dozens of schools are closed today and motorists are finding their morning commute a little treacherous as a winter snow storm moves through Kansas and Missouri.

Missouri Governor Matt Blunt's office has released 850 pages of e-mail it had previously withheld.

State funding for UMKC may be more uncertain with next year's expected budget shortfall, but the university's leadership will be stable.

A slate of Republican electors met in Jefferson City yesterday and officially cast Missouri's eleven electoral votes for John McCain and Sarah Palin.

Kansas cast its six electoral votes for the Republican team as well.

Longtime Kansas City Chiefs executive Carl Peterson has resigned. He held the titles of president, general manager and CEO for the football team.

Congress just eliminated federal funding for KCUR, but public radio is for the people.
