Raises for elected officials and most judges have been cancelled for the year under a bill that has cleared the Missouri legislature.Somewhat softened budget cuts of over $300 million have passed the Kansas Senate and are now before the House. The Kansas City Council advances a $35 million upgrade to its public safety radio systems despite the tight budget.
