Kansas City, MO – The Kansas Ethics Commission has cleared House Speaker Mike O'Neal of violating state ethics laws and helping his wife get a job in state government.

Former long-time Kansas Senator Bob Dole is home from the hospital celebrating his 86th birthday after undergoing leg surgeries.

The race for the U.S. Senate seat being vacated by Kit Bond is expected to get another candidate. State Sen. Chuck Purgason has scheduled an announcement this afternoon in West Plains.
