Kansas City, MO – More than a thousand people poured into a gym at UMKC yesterday for a health care forum with Senator Claire McCaskill. Unlike most of McCaskill's previous events, the majority of attendees at the Kansas City forum appeared to be in favor of some sort of healthcare overhaul.

The Kansas House Appropriations Committee is looking for ways to cut the budget, and members heard about billions of tax dollars one think tank argues are sitting unused.

A conference to explore the state of electricity in Missouri turned into a debate over the federal cap-and-trade bill in Washington.

Prosecutors say Demorrio Williams of the Kansas City Chiefs and two other NFL players were partners in a business that benefited from a Ponzi scheme run by a Nebraska woman.
