Kansas City, MO – Business and operating practices of the Kansas City School District are going to come under the scrutiny of the Missouri State Auditor. "Performance" rather than "spending" will be the focus.

The Kansas City Wizards are looking at staying in KCK. This is the soccer team's second season at Community America Ballpark near the Kansas Speedway. The Wizards had been looking to move into a new stadium at the site of the former Bannister Mall, but the struggling economy has caused the team to look across the state line.

A ballot initiative has been filed in Missouri that, if passed, would bar the use of state tax dollars to pay for abortions and human cloning.

UMKC and Missouri State University will work together to offer more opportunities for students to earn a doctor of pharmacy degree.

The person who wins a contest to design a new license plate to honor the arts will get royalties from the Kansas Arts Commission.
