Kansas City, MO – Kansas City Missouri school district officials presented a final proposal to close 26 schools to the board and the public at a packed meeting at school district headquarters.

The Kansas House Education Committee is considering a bill that would revamp how the state pays for special needs students.

A proposed constitutional amendment that would block people, employers and health care providers from being forced to enroll in any health care system has received first-round approval by the Missouri House.

With an 82-65 victory over fifth-ranked Kansas State last night, KU clinched the regular season Big 12 title.

Congress just eliminated federal funding for KCUR, but public radio is for the people.
