Kansas City, MO – The House Budget Committee spent nearly four hours amending and voting on bills that make up the state budget.

Death penalty opponents gathered at the State Capitol to call on Missouri lawmakers to place a moratorium on executions.

More than 60 Missouri schools canceled classes this year because of swine flu. A bill in the Missouri Senate would excuse them from making up the days.
