KCUR Arts Reporter Steve Walker reviews new films showing in the KC area.Mid-August Lunch - Gianni De Gregorio hits a triple here as the writer, director and star of this short (75 minutes) but dry and wry comedy about how Italian baby boomers might deal with their aging parents. He's quite comfortable caring for his cranky and spry elderly mother; in fact, Italy is the world capital of older sons still living at home. But when he agrees to take in three more elderly women - the moms or aunts of his accountant and doctor - his life turns upside down. The actresses playing the women seem pried from a morning mass rather than an acting school, and the ensuing discombobulation tickles the funny bone as much as their cooking whets the appetite. - Steve Walker
