Get Low: A Review

KCUR Arts Reporter Steve Walker share's his impressions of current movies.Get Low Rated PG-13

The great Robert Duvall is perfection as Felix Bush, a curmudgeonly hermit living outside a small town in the 1930s who devises a plan to be present - and alive - at his own funeral.

Colorful support is provided by Bill Murray as the funeral director, Lucas Black as his prot?g?e, and Sissy Spacek as Bush's old flame.

The movie looks great and is aptly evocative of a more genteel time and, for an hour, it works very well.

The script falls messily apart in the last third, however, stunningly and ineptly betraying chunks of its earlier set-up.
