Kansas City, MO – Casey Brezik, the 22-year- old man charged with stabbing a Penn Valley Community College Dean, made his first court appearance.

Missouri Auditor Susan Montee says the tiny town of Randolph, north of the river, has been subsisting primarily on a speed trap, and that it owes Clay county schools most of the revenue it's collected there.

An attempt by Missouri lawmakers to override a veto by Governor Jay Nixon has failed.

Missouri is getting a $500,000 bonus from the federal government for increasing the number of foster care children who were adopted.

Former Missouri Governor Warren Hearnes became the most recent inductee today into the Hall of Famous Missourians in Jefferson City.
