KCUR incorrectly reported that Congressman Emanuel Cleaver beat Republican Challenger Jacob Turk by only 49 percent to 48 percent. In fact, the final tally was: Cleaver, 53 percent (101,076 votes), Turk, 44 percent (84,415 votes). KCUR's story quoted faulty information posted on two separate election websites late on election night.
