KANSAS CITY, Mo. – House and Senate negotiators have failed to agree on a congressional redistricting map before a self-imposed deadline.

The Missouri Senate has passed a resolution that would shrink the size of the Missouri House from 163 members down to 103.

The Missouri Senate is trying to cut down on the number of potential election days in the state.

Kansas Gov. Sam Brownback is predicting the state will move toward having a 401(k)-style pension plan for new teachers and government workers.

Activists say they are planning a rally in June outside Fort Leavenworth in support of an Army private who's accused of leaking classified documents.
