KANSAS CITY, Mo. – North Missouri Chamber of Commerce offices are joining the flood fight.

The Missouri River is beginning to rise in the central part of the Show-Me State. The river at Jefferson City is expected to reach 29 feet by Thursday, just a foot shy of the top of the city's north side levee.

Planned Parenthood filed a federal suit yesterday. The group is looking to bar the state of Kansas from redirecting money to local health clinics.

The Kansas City Royals fell to the San Diego Padres 4-3 last night; the two teams will meet again this evening in San Diego.
