KANSAS CITY, Mo. – After cutting back to a minimal investigative force overnight, Kansas City police and cooperating law enforcement agencies are resuming their full-scale search for a missing 10-month-old girl.

State Higher Education officials are encouraging Missouri college students, faculty and staff to donate time this fall to ongoing recovery efforts in tornado-ravaged Joplin.

KU is getting a $780,000 federal grant from the U.S. Department of Education to help public school students become more proficient in the arts.

There are still cracks in the foundation of the Big 12 Conference. The University of Missouri is the latest to publicly announce its intentions to further examine whether or not to leave the Big 12.
