KANSAS CITY, Mo. –

  • The case of a missing 10-month-old took sudden unexpected turns last night as a conflicting statements were released by the family and police.

  • More than 40 victims of sexual abuse by priests have filed a lawsuit seeking to force the Kansas City-St. Joseph Catholic Diocese to report suspected abuse cases and to abide by other terms it agreed to in a 2008 settlement. The plaintiffs accuse the diocese and Bishop Robert Finn of not living up to the agreement 

     

  • A commission charged with improving the health of city residents will soon unveil a five year plan for doing so. 

     

  • The Kansas City city council voted to pay another $280,000 yesterday to the parents of a 7-year-old boy who was killed by a fire truck in 2009.
